STEVE SMITH

President and Chief Operating Officer

Bio

Steve Smith is a 29-year veteran of the insurance industry with significant experience in Medicare program administration. He is a native of Augusta, GA, who has worked for BlueCross since 2000. For most of his career, he has worked with subsidiary companies in the Government Programs Division. He held various leadership positions with subsidiary Palmetto GBA, which provides claims processing and administrative services to Medicare, helping manage its Railroad Medicare operation and later its Medicare Customer Service Center. He served as president of the former Palmetto GBA subsidiary Q2 Administrators from 2007-2009.

Steve served as a captain in the Marine Corps and earned a bachelor's degree in political science from Augusta State University.

JOHN KIMBALL

Vice President of Operations

Bio

John Kimball has been with CGS for over 27 years. He has a bachelor's and master's of science in physics from Appalachian State University. John has extensive operational experience in government programs and was previously the Chief Information Officer and Systems Security Officer for CGS.

MELISSA KIRCHENBAUER

Assistant Vice President, Medicare Operations Jurisdiction C DME MAC Program Manager

Bio

Melissa Kirchenbauer has been with CGS for 29 years. Melissa has extensive operational experience in government programs and currently has leadership responsibility for CGS' DME MAC Jurisdiction C contract. Previous positions include Director of the Call Center operations. She has a bachelor's in business management from Indiana University.

MELISSA LAMB

Assistant Vice President, Medicare Operations Jurisdiction 15 A/B MAC Program Manager

Bio

Melissa Lamb is an 27-year veteran of the insurance industry with 23 years at CGS in Medicare program administration. Melissa has a wealth of operational leadership experience in Part A, B, HHH and DME government programs. In addition to her operational experience, Melissa has a strong background in Business Excellence, developing the program that CGS uses today, which includes Lean Six Sigma, Quality and Training. She is a native of Boise, ID, who has served national non-profit foundations for over two decades. Melissa earned her bachelor's of science degree in Finance from Arizona State University and is a Lean Six Sigma Master Black belt.

MIKE LOGAN

Vice President, Chief Financial Officer

Bio

Mike Logan has been with CGS for 22 years. He has a bachelor's degree from Lipscomb University and is a Certified Public Accountant. Prior to serving in his current role, Mike spent four years as the CGS Compliance Officer. Previous to joining CGS, Mike spent six years in Public Accounting and six years as division controller for Rehabilitation health care company. Mike enjoys hunting and fishing in his spare time.

ROBERT STANSELL

Vice President, Systems & Support

Bio

Robert Stansell has been with CGS since 2001. He has held several roles within CGS, including Test Lab Manager and Application Development Manager. Robert holds several certifications including; MCSE, MCSA, MCDBA, A+, N+, and CDIA. He is a member of the Society for Information Management (SIM) and a graduate of their Regional Leadership Forum. Prior to his time in CGS, Robert served as a Paratrooper and Non-Commissioned Officer in the U.S. Army. Robert has a bachelor's degree in Information Technology and an MBA.

TRACY TATUM

Director, Business Excellence

Bio

Tracy Tatum has been with CGS since 1998. She has held various positions with increasing managerial and operational responsibilities in government programs. She has an extensive background and experience in Organizational Effectiveness, including strategic planning, training design and development, quality assurance, project management, and continuous improvement. Tracy currently provides oversight for Business Excellence with responsibility for the integration and alignment of CGS's business management system and strategic plan and goals, throughout the organization. She holds a bachelor's and master's degree in business administration from Middle Tennessee State University.

Assistant Vice President, Medicare Operations Jurisdiction B DME MAC Program Manager

Bio

Roc is a 23-year veteran of CGS. He is the Program Manager for Jurisdiction B Medicare Administrative Contract for Durable Medical Equipment. Additionally, he has significant experience in operations, business development, and business excellence. Roc has a Bachelor of Science Degree from Tennessee Technological University and an M.B.A. from Middle Tennessee State University. Roc and his wife Stephanie have a teenage daughter and in his free time, he enjoys traveling with his family as well as spending time outdoors.
